The outside of the cup was perfect. It was beautiful. A little pricey but to me, but it was worth it for the size %26 the design. Before use, it was cleaned thoroughly. Inside and out, lid and straw. I filled it with water and a little later went to bed, keeping it on my bedside table. When I woke in the morning, I had a sip and it tasted like a plastic/rubber flavor. After tasting it again, then smelling the inside both with and without the water, it still smelled and tasted like it. Just to make sure tumbler was the problem, i tested the water I used to drink , and there was no smell or taste. I have never had that happen before. I use these types of tumblers all the time from my water. Unfortunately I had to return it. If it wasn't for that, I would have kept it. the outside had is a soft feel to it that made it easy to grip and not slide out of your hand. I hate that I had to give it a poor rating, but that was because of the odor and I don't believe the seller is aware of it. ** NOTE: I did clean and dry it again before sending it back. I left the lid off for a few days. Maybe letting it sit with the lid off for a week or so might help the smell fade? I don't know and don't want to take the risk, so I'm sending it back. I hope the seller can find out why this is happening. This is one instance, keep in mind it may be the only one or design that is affected. If you have any questions, contact the seller please.
