After taking a hiatus from commercial art syllabus [for 54 years!], upon retiring, I decided to take a survey painting course. My principal medium was watercolor, the only medium I did NOT study in high school or college. Upon developing some technique and speed, I decided to add gouache to the equation. Gouache was my strongest medium back when. I shall use this palette for gouache mixing and storage. The palette has 33 bins plus a palette-long mixing surface. The bins are a hefty size and enough quantity-wise, to accommodate the typical 24-tube gouache set PLUS in-between colors, hues or tints. It is relatively sturdy for a plastic device; it closes with a positive latch on a piano hinge. Ironically, the device is black top on white bottom. It measures 12-1/2 by 6-1/2 by 1-1/4 inches, a useful size to fit in the rolling knapsack with its companion art supplies.
