Mixed Experience: Bed Nook Tea Room Platform
I purchased this platform to create a multiple-purpose room, modelling a Japanese-style team room during the day and bed nook at night. I use a Japanese mattress that I can store away (see pics). So far, it has achieved this both aesthetically and in function. It's exceptionally heavy and I suggest you hire a handyman as I did, because it would have been challenging to do it myself. I found that the middle area is a bit flimsy and moves when I walk or sit on it, and the drawer detached within a week of use. With the low price point and after reading the mostly negative reviews, I anticipated some issues but overall I'm content with it because nothing else on the North American market would have been suitable for my needs.

Difficult Assembly, Nice Results
The actual platform is four large slabs of the engineered wood. You have to carefully line up the first piece with little wooden blocks as guides in order to have it straight and to have the correct amount of overhang off the base. If you do this carefully, the other three pieces will line up without issue. I took a lot of time doing this and got a great finished product unlike some of the other reviews. It's definitely not the easiest piece of furniture I've ever assembled but it was not unreasonably hard.

Not Bad!
This is the exact type of bed frame I was looking for, but it did come with a few complications like one of the boards being cracked and the instructions were just a little to complicated they need to be a little clearer but other than that I was able to get it together and love the way it looks I just hope that I can get a replacement board.
