The directions were clear with the exception of a special metal hardware piece which came in 2 very similar sizes not being clearly marked as to which size should be used where in the construction of the nightstand. The drawers open and close smoothly and the finish is acceptable. The item was MDF - medium density fiberboard real wood was supplied only for a couple of support pieces. The drawer pulls are as expected and acceptable.
