Lodge Cast Iron 60" Camp Tripod

This tripod is perfect for heavy cast iron pots. I plan to use a 12 quart Dutch oven this summer and needed the extra sturdiness this tripod and chain provides. An aluminum backpacking set up would not do. As far as the 3 times I had to order because the chain was missing in the first two deliveries, well that's not the product's fault. Both of those packages had holes in them and were ill taped.

I bought this 60" tripod to replace my 48" (Lodge) tripod.When cooking chili in a dutch oven over the fire, I was unable to put enoughr air between the pot and the fire, occasionally causing the food to scorch and stick to the bottom of the pot. The problem is now solved with the much taller 60 inch model. The base can be adjusted to accomodate the size of my dutch oven, and the heavy duty chain can be used to fine tune the height. My only regret is that I didn't learn of this tripod years ago as it would've prevented some of the scorching that occurred with my previous tripod
