A Master Plumber's thoughts

I have used one of these for nearly 30 years in my plumbing business. It is one of the finest tools for manual pipe threading ever made. I have never had a problem with the 65R, and it has always worked very well. I am a Master Plumber, and I teach adults in the evening. I just taught a class of HVAC students how to operate the 65R last evening. With proper instruction, all were able to use this tool with no problems at all.

Don't use the operating instructions!

Threading 1 1/2" black pipe is difficult when following the directions that come with the threader. When following the directions, we have broken the cam release lever by the second day of using it. Not following the directions, we have to cut several times over the same section, each time moving the workholder. If setting on "std" (or even close to 'std") first cut, can't get die on to pipe, No assistance available since it is an older mode (and low end of their equipment)l, DON"T BUY IT
