These have a firm “heel cup” (the back of the around the back of the heel is firm, solid, to provide support while walking, which is what his physical therapist told us to get. These have been very solid first shoes for our little guy, and they have a good toe box, not too pointy. The Velcro seems sturdy and we would buy these again when he grows.
