This soft, orthopedic bed provides comfortable warmth even in sub-zero weather. It uses an internal thermostat to keep the temperature at a desirable 102 when the pet lies upon the heated pad; and will remain 10-15 degrees above ambient air temperature when your pet is not on the bed. Soft PVC protects from water and a free removable, washable cover is included for easy care. The K&H Lectro-Soft Outdoor Heated Dog & Cat Beds are recommended for Indoor or outdoor use. This heated dog mat/heated cat mat has been tested & certified by MET Labs to exceed USA/CA electrical safety standards. One-year limited warranty. Winter warmth

I have this pad on my back porch for my cat. She seems very comfotable laying on it. It stays warm but does not get hot. I think this is great for pets outside or older animals.

Surprisingly warm and soft
After experiencing Disappointment with two other heated mats, I came across this one and was surprised on how warm it was and soft for my new kittens. There's no timer. You just unplug it and plug it back in. This was suitable for me, but may not be for everyone.
