Drain the juice off of these, 2 17oz yams. Drain 20-oz pineapple chunks, save juice. Put pineapple chunks in bottom of oven proof dish. Add yams, pour 1/4 cup of juice over yams. Make a streusel topping: 1/4 cup flour, 3 Tbsp brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp. salt, 3 Tbsp butter, cut into small pieces. Mix the topping mixture with your hands. Then add 1/4 cup chopped nuts and mix. Spread on top of yams and back in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Remove from oven. Top with 1 cup miniature marshmallows. Broil until lightly browned, NOT UNTIL SMOKE DETECTOR GOES OFF. Makes 6-8 servings. I should just print a cookbook and let Walmart sell it while you're picking up items for each dish. Paula B.

My famous sweet potato casserole
I have been using these canned yams to make my holiday sweet potato casserole for over 50 years! Last month while shopping in Walmart, a woman (total stranger) approached me asking if I thought a bag of yams she was holding would make 4 cups! She needed to make sweet potato casserole %26 had never made it before. I couldn't believe she would ask me, the sweet potato casserole expert!!! I took her to the canned veggie aisle %26 handed her a can of Bruce's yams %26 showed her the recipe on the can. I told her this was so much easier %26 better than peeling %26 slicing fresh yams! And I advised her to use marshmallows instead of pecans. :) I walked away thanking God for sending her to me!

Best Canned Yams!!
If you are signed up or assigned to make yams for Thanksgiving, buy the can and make the sweet potato casserole. The canned yams are the perfect size to feed a family of 8 at least as a side dish complimenting a large meal. If you're like me, you buy two cans and make sure you have leftovers because they are so tasty!
