Sterilite Extra-Large Plastic Storage Bin, 50 Gallon Storage Tote with Snap-on Lid, Gray

This was the perfect solution to store my artificial Christmas tree. I had been using a wheeled bag (similar to a huge rolling duffel), but handling the entire weight/size at one time is difficult for me; I divided the three pieces into two totes. Also, my basement isn't dry, so totes are an ideal solution.

Okay, to be honest, I don't know how well this bin stores things. I bought it as a brooder. The wire rack from an oven fits across the top's width--I would need two or three racks to cover the whole thing, but one does okay for now. I would recommend that if you plan to have chicks, they like to jump up and hang out higher than their peeps, so they would need to be covered entirely. But for ducks, which I have now, and which grow incredibly quickly, this bin is much better than the regular size--which is perfect for a single wire rack as the top. This bin is easy to clean out while my ducklings are hanging out in the bathtub! My heat lamp hasn't melted the plastic, there's plenty of room for a duck waterer and 6-7 unfeathered ducklings. Once they have more of their feathers, they'll move outside and the brooder will be cleaned up for the next flock of residents.
