Our other choice cost $500

We needed 10 outdoor lamps for a home-wide remodel. For the most visible front gate lights, we bought hand forged, textured black metal lamps that were beautiful, but I had trouble stomaching $4,000 for the next 8 lamps. And my wife ruled out anything from Home Depot. As a test, we ordered one of these. This lamp is solidly built with decent glass and looks exactly like the picture. The metal is not hand forged, but neither is it rickety. I can't comment on long term durability, but it works and looks just fine alongside it's more expensive brethren.
