The bike came with the handlebars turned outward (cant see the numbers on the gear shifter and the brake handles facing downward) and didnt come with any tools to adjust this. The bolt that holds it in place is so tight that I've been completely unable to undo it to turn the handlebars around myself it is absurdly tight. On top of that, the battery or the controller seems to be defective and the bike sometimes just refuses to turn on. Removing the battery and reinserting it once or twice seems to be necessary each time we use the bike. I only bought this because it's pretty difficult to find electric bikes in this size, and my girlfriend can't ride a 26 inch bike. At the same time I bought a much nicer bike for myself from a random Chinese brand on Amazon for just a little more, and it came assembled correctly, included all the tools I needed, better instructions, a bigger battery, a more powerful motor, and more. The only reason to get this Schwinn bike is if you need one this size, or if you really like the color (it's nice).

Starting out the pedal assist would cut in and out. We were able to fix that by cleaning the sensor. Then we noticed when riding longer than a few minutes, Seven to be exact, the bike would shut down. It will start right back up by pushing the start button on the control but will shut back down every seven minutes. If we cannot figure this out, or be helped by Schwinn the bike will have to be returned as having to restart every seven minutes while riding is very annoying.
