Extremely sturdy very glad I got this just hope I can lift leg over the handle to lay down on sofa after surgery. Thought about using it on the recliner but I hooked an old dog leash under recliner to pull myself up to edge so I used this for sofa. If I could have afforded another I would have because I am having more than one surgery.
