Schlage F40VACC619 Accent Privacy Lever, Satin Nickel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This door handle was easy to instal and looks pretty nice against the backdrop of our original 1990's home interior styling. When my wife and I needed to replace several doorknobs in the home after we bought it, we decided that upgrading piecemeal was the best way to go. Accents here, modern upgrades there, LED lighting everywhere etc. This turned out to be a stupid idea because, as we learned, our tastes have drastically changed over the 4 years in our home. I mean, is an everything-copper kitchen still even a thing anymore? And shiplap wood accent walls. Unless your name is Joanna Gaines and you make millions on the back of shiplap as a design choice, it's kinda been played out. Plus I don't know of a single cape style home with 7 1/2' ceilings that ever benefitted from a “rustic/farmhouse” motif. I won't even start on the kids rooms and this “picturesque Pinterest starlight led ceiling” idea that's been forced down my throat by my amateur interior decorator wife. Needles to say, our home is a hodgepodge of half baked ideas all thrown together with no actual thought to the overall esthetic. But by god are the door handles perfect. If all else fails and our house ends up getting stripped down to studs and painted white to erase our poor decisions over the last few years, the ONE thing that will survive the purge of fad design choices, is the Schlage Accent door handles…in satin nickel.
