Well-designed, well-built, attractive bed frame
The kit arrived with everything needed to complete assembly, tools and all. It was very logical and the instructions were almost perfect (one or two drawings did not identify what nuts and spacers were needed but it was simple to figure out. This is a two person job! Before starting assembly, I also learned much by reading previous reviews. Ashley Furniture offered a two inch thick floorboard to rest on the thin slats of the sturdy metal frame. I will order this because the mattress floor is several inches higher than my old frame, ergo I cannot use my old box spring as it would jack up to mattress to a height requiring a step stool to get in bed. Also, the thin slats do not offer enough structure to my mattress. I need a firmer floor. That stated, I really enjoy the subtle, cozy appearance of this bed frame, and appreciate the myriad thoughtful details in its design.
