Samsung 8000 is excellent

I choose this TV for a few reasons. I also bought this for my son for Xmas 2016. 1- the refresh rate (hz) 240. 2- The reviews. Every review on this TV was excellent. And the picture is out standing. Before I purchased I called Dtv to make sure they had the 4K compalities. And I had the correct Dtv box hooked up to it. The reason I choose to buy this Tv from Walmart is there protection plan for $99 is for 3 years. Other stores was $150 for 1 year. Also Walmarts returns policy is far far far better than other stores. Any time I have bought a big ticket item from Walmart and (if) I had a problem. They always have stood behind there product. - Always. I bought a product from the big blue box store down the street and they told me I was out of luck. That soured me, huge. But this Samsung 8000 is a beauty. Ultra thin. Excellent picture. And from what I am told from my son. Great for gaming.

Great TV, great price

The Samsung UN55KS8000 has great rating, especially for use in a bright room, but at $2,000, it was priced high, even with the Series 9 TVs out. This TV was also recommended by another family member. So, when the price dropped, I ordered it immediately. Easy to set-up and looks great. You will need a digital audio converter if you have headphones or stereo that connects using RCA or 3.5 mm jacks. This TV is meant to be hung, but the stand works fine, although turning the TV is harder than my 10 year old, still working, Samsung on a swivel base. Unfortunately, this is a sacrifice to get a very thin TV and bezel. The TV literally lights up the room in dynamic or sports mode. The remote did not pair automatically, so look for the tiny print on how to pair the remote. Once paired, it worked with the Samsung TV, Samsung Blu-ray, TiVo and Roku with no problems EXCEPT there are no numbers on the remote. Tough if you have digital cable or satellite with hundred or thousands of channels. The sound directly from the TV is adequate, but I recommend headphones or stereo for movies or music.

Picture Like Real Life!

I was still using an old DLP Samsung I purchased back about 10 years ago, that I repaired on two occasions wth bulbs and color wheel, but continued to provide a great picture, tho I thought! Technology has come a long way since my old Samsung was new, but this new SUHD LED picture is unreal. I just hope his TV is as faithful as my last Samsung. I had the TV delivered to the house via FedEx, the box was in perfect condition and arrived in a timely manner.
