I first heard of the Sally Hansen Salon Insta-Gel Strips Starter Kit and Gel Nail Color Strips on YouTube then from there I had done my research online, on the Sally Hansen site from reading countless reviews, watching and reading multiple reviews from multiple ladies online and finally decided I had to try it! I found the starter kit and multiple types of patterns and colors in multiple stores. Once I tried it I've been hooked! Since I was brand new to the system I read the instructions many times and even looked up tutorials online and saw the Sally Hansen tutorial on this product to help me perfect it. It went great! The starter kit color I chose was Red My Lips and it really did last me up till 2 weeks. It last me so long i wanted to change my color after 2 weeks so I just took it off but if i hadn't done so it probably would've lasted me longer. Even right now I'm wearing the pattern Amazing Lace and it looks gorgeous on my nails. I did read and watch many reviews that the product did not work well for ladies but practice really does make perfect. Pay very close attention to the instructions each step is important and counts towards your results. Don't forget the nail cleanser pads to use before you start putting on your gel strips and after you used you gel top coat. The cleanser pads help your manicure last longer. It also helps viewing tutorials and even Sally Hansen have video online tutorials on YouTube to help us ladies out that might have trouble. Overall I truly do love the product and of how simple and easy the insta-gel strips go on the nails. Plus the patterns are to die for! If you have naturally short, small nails and nails beds like me or love to keep your nails short you can even get double the wear of the product. When you carefully cut the strips once it is on your nails the other half can be used on the nail of your opposite hand. You just use the cuticle stick that came with you kit to cut off any excess on your skin and cuticles otherwise if you don't it can peel off so just remember that step ladies.My only downside (not really) is I wish we could order online from the website for specific colors and patterns not all the patterns and colors are available and can be found in every store but not really complaint. I hope Sally Hansen can make more designs and patterns to try out! Keep the gel strips going! :D

Of course, this isn't going to work unless you have the LED light, that's how gel manicures work. This is just a "refill" type pack, in order to get the LED light, you have to buy the stater kit, which ranges about 25-30 dollars. After you read the instructions included in the starter kit, and learn how to do this with the color it gives you, move onto these strips. As far as the overall product, I give it a 4 instead of a 5, simply because it isn't as long lasting as getting a professional manicure. Depending on how rough you are with your hands, this can last up to 2 weeks. And even then, it's only small chips and scuffs.
