My German Shephard is 10 and has arthritis. My vet recommended this exact dosage of Chondroitin and Glucosamine (in 2 chews) plus fish oil in about this dosage. These are pricey, but less than some others. The important thing is that they really work. I was skeptical. I have a very big dog (overweight). He weighs about 140 lbs and was having a difficult time getting up from a lying position. After about 4 months there was a noticeable difference.
