It will be useful soon, but I had to insert a steel plate under the truck bed to serve as a large washer. I positioned the bed between the mounting base and a piece of 3/8-inch plate steel, planning to attach the plate to the frame later. One thing to note is that the boom has a limited downward reach, so for a truck with a camper shell, you need to tighten lifting straps or chains as much as possible. My truck has a lift kit, making it challenging to lift anything over 250 lbs to that height alone. However, this tool will be beneficial for tasks like lifting my generator or a job site box full of tools. I'm cautious about putting the full rated weight on it until it's connected to the frame, unless the bed needs replacement. It definitely requires reinforcement, and maybe even a stabilizer similar to a trailer's landing gear would be a good idea for suspension compression in that corner of the truck. A quick-release type would be suitable. While the 1100 lbs lifting capacity sounds promising, considering the potential bending or tearing of steel body parts, I would exercise caution. Overall, I find it to be a good product, especially appreciating how it doesn't obstruct and neatly tucks under the bed rail. Just keep in mind the thickness of your truck bed.

This is constructed quite sturdily, but it could benefit from an additional pulley or roller at the end where the cable passes through. When raised too high, the cable tends to rub against the slot due to the absence of a second pulley or roller. Another concern is that the holes are not drilled straight on the upright when swiveling, requiring the upper unit to be raised for the pin to go through when locking it into place. Despite these issues, it functions well.
