This is a very attractive little seed holder for ground feeding birds. The quality is good and the mesh holes are small enough that the round seeds don't fall through. It isn't large though, and one mourning dove sitting in the feeder can monopolize it. Might need to buy a second one!

The size is closer to 10 1/2". The birds love it. I have 2 other feeders window %26 hanging. Almost all try to get to this feeder sitting on the ground, using a mix of sunflower hearts %26 black oil. Surprising have at least 10 cardinals (my favorite) among many varius other birds. A solid mesh type metal lets water drain. I do fill daily birds come back every day. I'll probably get another. Less expensive than A m a z o n.
