The cuts this makes are amazing! It's solid and so well made. Very reasonably priced and easy to transport despite it being very heavy. I would highly recommend this, even over some of the more expensive ones out there.

Great saw - need to beef up miter fence bracket

Saw is great. I spent a little time truing things up ou of the box, but for the most part it arrived being pretty darn close. Cuts nice with plenty of power. I love the fact that all the accessories store on board. However, the plastic part that holds the miter fence is too thin. It broke before I ever made my first cut with the saw. Other than that issue its a really great saw for the size and a good value.

A safe, effective, powerful woodworking tool.

This saw has made my projects faster, easier, and more exact. I had hit a wall with how good the items I was building around my house could get. I got different tools to compensate, to an include, strait edges, cutting jigs and the kreg rip cut. All of them had their own uses and helped in their own ways. They helped me build night stands, end tables, coffee tables and bed frames. But things in the front of the back were always a just a little off. Not so much I couldn't hide it with a little glue and sawdust, but the repeatability was always lacking. I was hesitant to get a table saw for the fear of, if you get hurt, good chance it's on a table saw, (or router really.) I looked over a handful and settled on this over the Hercules (I wasn't paying full price for a dewalt knockoff) the Dewalt (great saw, but small, like a toy) the Metabo (I didn't like the gear to raise and lower the fence was plastic, not metal, but it's a beast of a saw) and the Bosch, I didn't like the base being plastic, it somehow drops and breaks, then what?) Once I'd seen a free stand was included, that was that. I ordered the skilsaw and out of the box, near perfect. Miter gauge is plastic but I have no idea why people complain, they should have a piece of plywood in front of it anyway, so really it's plastic and plywood. But it works. It cuts with ease. In a very odd way. I'm use to cutting wood. Not just with japanese pull saws and circular saws, but miter saws and chisels and whatever else. And you are always, cutting wood. Actively, cutting through it. With this I pushed a piece of 3/4 plywood to make the first cut and I almost though the blade wasn't up. It went straight through with no effort, it's odd at first. I can't tell you how loud it is, I wear ear protection. But thus far, making shaker nightstands, I love this saw. I did by Dado blades and plates but haven't used them. So far, I can't be happier with this. Everything, exact, easy, repeatable and if I want I can shave off pieces 1/4 the size of a toothpick.
