There are small loops on the corners, with stakes included, but I'm not using them since the rug is on our deck. It lays nicely flat, and stays in place, although I have our patio furniture setting on it in spots. It's only been a few days, but so far it's worked well. I like having a rug under my feet on the deck, and it adds decor.
