As it is a natural, self-regulating fibre, wool does not actually need to be cleaned as frequently as other clothes, and when washing it, just gently blot it with your hands a few times, and carefully drain the water. The water should be cold, or a bit warm. Leave it in the sink for an hour, so that the water gets out, and lay it flat to dry. This way you will keep you garment for a very long time.
