SAFAVIEH Phoenix Brooklyn Bordered Area Rug, Turquoise/Beige, 11' x 15'

I can't speak highly enough of this rug! It competes with options 3x the price! I got the 10x14 in fuschia, would've gotten a 9x12 if it was an option, but this works too. First, it's not a flat weave - it's tufted, to a low-medium pile! Much better, more cushiony! The colors are BOLD but not childish - it's not a pure or barbie pink, but it's a more complex almost fiery rose fuschia. There are a range of teals and turqouises that keep it interesting. The pattern is a subtle modern update of the traditional - sections of it are slightly "glitched" in a playful way. It is definitely plasticky - like any rug at this price point for this size, and not as soft as cotton or wool (which would be ~$800-1000 for a 10x14) - but not glossy and it's still plenty soft, not scratchy at all. Shipped rolled (better than folded). Took about 2 weeks for the wrinkles to relax. I use a 1/2" pad with it in the living room that is overkill, 3/8" would've been fine. There was less smell than other recent plastic purchases (fake plants and other rugs) and it's gone now. I took this purchase as a gamble, and it paid off. I love this thing. It defines the room. I get lots of compliments on it.
