Poor design, cheap aesthetic

The rug is stringy in appearance. It looks very cheap which is not usual for Safavieh products. I have 3 other Safavieh rugs and they are incredibly strong and beautiful .This comes down to design, the woven black string is what makes it look so cheap in person. It is reminiscent of a rag rug, which are usually comfortable and pretty, but the high contrast material both in feel and look doesn't work. It's also very smelly.
