We recently changed our living room flooring from a carpet to vinyl. I chose this carpet to cover part of the floor because I also take care of my grandchildren, and don't want them sliding on the vinyl flooring. The carpet is wonderful! It is a wonderful piece in my one-bedroom apartment living room. Very soft and supple. The dark grey is a little lighter than what's represented in the pictures (which worked out well for me, but may vary for you). Very satisfied with Safavieh products in general; this is no exception.
