We had the original RotoRazor and never received it back after loaning to a family member. It was a great tool and when we went to purchase a replacement, i couldn't imagine how a "Platinum" version could be any better. Boy was I wrong! The Platinum is definitely worth the extra money, but i still back my experience with the original being one of the most versatile tools to have around. Platinum or Original, we're huge Rotorazor fans!
