It is perfect for a cool spring or fall day. A shower pops up? No problem as it has a hood! I can't speak to how waterproof it is, though, but it looks like it would repel rain. The cuffs have elastic in them so you don't have to worry about sleeve length. The material is like that of a windbreaker, but thicker. I chose the navy blue and I love the color. It goes with everything! I am 4' 9", 145 pounds, 44" bust and the large fit perfectly.

A very good buy. Nice fit with just the right amount of "extra room" that I like in a rain jacket so that it fits over light weight sweater or sweatshirt.
