Ringside Large Leather Heavy Bag, Soft-Filled Punching Bag for Boxing, MMA, Includes Chain and Swivel, 16" x 48", 100 lbs

Very nice heavy bag! Very well constructed! Bought it for my son. I think the 100 lb bag would have been better for him, but he wanted the 150 lb bag.

Over the years, I've owned multiple Ringside heavy bags. I've also owned their gloves, timers, wraps, etc. I've never had one bad thing to say about the quality of their products. I was hesitant to purchase this bag because of some of the reviewer claims of shoddy manufacturing. I decided to roll the dice, and here's what I found: The bag was packaged fine, and it came with the swivel, so no signs of any initial problems. Someone else had complained about the stitching being uneven. Mine was also, but that was totally irrelevant to me, as the stitching - if not visually impressive - was still solid. Someone else complained about the vertical seam on the bag being too raised. Again, I didn't find this to be an issue on my bag at all. What I did notice was inconsistency with the fill, and one spot in particular on the bag where the leather seemed very thin and wrinkled. I expect this weak spot to be problematic for the bag's longevity, and it will most certainly be prone to wearing through, so on the same day I received the bag, I e-mailed Ringside's customer service, and sent them images and a video clip of this spot of concern. Knowing how the virus has slowed down response times, I wasn't surprised when I didn't hear back from Ringside after the first week, nor did I expect them to respond quickly. That said, I e-mailed again late last week, and still haven't received a response. It has now been over two weeks since I sent the initial e-mail, and Ringside has just ignored my e-mails (which were sent through their website.) All I wanted was to make sure my bag will be covered, in the event this bag tears at the spot where the thin/wrinkled leather is. I am very disappointed by Ringside's non-existent customer service, and based on this experience, it will likely be the last Ringside heavy bag I buy. UPDATE: It has now been a month since I received the bag and sent Ringside the first of multiple e-mails. The initial e-mail had an image and a short video attached, to demonstrate the shortcoming of the bag. It wasn't nasty or crude either. Unbelievably, Ringside never responded to any of my e-mails. In all the years I've done business with them, I never would've dreamed that - rather than address quality issues head on - they'd instead choose to just ignore a long-time, repeat customer.
