To clean out threads or to deepen shallow threads I keep at least 1/2" all the way through 2"

A journeyman plumber used one of these ( different size and brand) when the female threads on a heating/cooling unit were crossed threaded. I knew I had to have one in my tool bag after that day. 4 out of 5 because I haven't used this product yet.
