Preferred MethodRice Range Top Directions.What You Need2 Tablespoons of butter or margarine & 2 cups water1. In a large skillet, combine rice-vermicelli mix and butter or margarine. Saute over medium heat until vermicelli is golden brown, stirring frequently.2. Slowly stir in water and Special Seasonings; bring to a boil.3. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.2 cups prepared. Enjoy! Microwave DirectionsIn 2-quart microwavable bowl, combine rice-vermicelli mix and 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine. Microwave uncovered at High 1 minute. Stir. Microwave at High 12 more minutes or until vermicelli is golden brown. Remove and stir in 2 cups water and Special Seasonings. Microwave uncovered, at High 1719 minutes or until rice is tender. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.Microwave ovens vary; adjust times as needed.

Great stuff and sesame oil makes it even better!
I tried this Rice A Roni stir fried rice flavor for the first time, recently. I really enjoyed it! I made a few tweaks by sautéing the dry rice mix in sesame oil instead of butter. I also added about a tablespoon of sugar (one of the secrets to restaurant style fried rice!) to balance out the saltiness I knew would be in the seasoning packet. I added a small dash of soy sauce to bring out the umami flavor I crave. I sautéed shrimp in sesame oil, and sliced up some green onions length wise and added both to the pot just before the cook time finished for boiling the rice itself. It made for a nice meal that was tasty and very satisfying! I now know that Rice A Roni stir fried rice is a great base that’s 99.9% the way to the finish line on making fried rice at home when I’m craving it and don’t want to deal with a take out place, or spend a bunch of money.
