For use on exterior doors where keyed entry and security is needed. Universal handing; fits both right handed and left handed doors. Comes with 2 keys. Latch has 2 interchangeable faceplates; round corner and square corner. ANSI/BHMA grade 3 certified. Latch has adjustable backset 2-3/8" to 2-3/4" to fit all standard door preparations. Includes both deadbolt and full lip round strikes. 1 in. deadbolt throw. Locking mechanism functions with turn piece on the interior of the lock. Easily installs in minutes with just a screwdriver. Lifetime mechanical and finish warranty. Microban Antimicrobial product protection keeps door hardware 99.9% cleaner than unprotected surfaces.

4 OF THESE IN MY HOUSE FROM 25 YEARS AGO. THE INTERNAL SPRING BROKE ON 2 OF THEM MAKING IT HARD TO LOCK / UNLOCK. I THOUGH THAT WAS GREAT QUALITY BUT IT GOT EVEN BETTER WHEN KWIKSET WARRANTIED THEM FOR FREE AND SENT THE REPLACEMENTS IN NO TIME.

Warranty Replacement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Kwikset on both my home and rental properties. This was a replacement for what I thought was under warranty but turned out not. However Kwikset did make an exception and provided me with replacements for my older knobs. The replacements are great and I like the ease of the re-keying process. Thanks again Kwikset

Secure and Dependable Home Lock Set
I always buy KWIKSET Locks. Over the years have learned they are the best. They look nice as well--my favorite is satin chrome. Most places like LOWES can key them to match your keys. Installation is easy. Never had problems with KWIKSET. Tried some Cheapo Lock Sets, regretted it and went back to KWIKSET!
