Fine Tape Measure - Early Thumb Lock Failure

The tape measure worked well until the thumb lock cracked on the pressure end and could no longer apply pressure to lock the tape in place. I called Dewalt's customer service and they were understanding; they could not locate the thumb lock in inventory so they shipped a new one to my address.

Awesome tape while it lasted

I bought one a CPL years ago and now there are three or four guys on our crew with them but the got the one with tape protection cuz I loved the tape my complaint was after 2 or 3 months of daily use outside in the snow rain etc the numbers started to peel off so it was awesome tape just doesn't have any protection from the weather it destroyed this tape indoor use only otherwise get one of the upgraded version

Won`t lock

I haven`t had any issues of flaking like some others have mentionned, but I've had the tape less than 6 months, have probably used it 4 times, and the locking mecanism has stopped working already and the tape retracts itself if I don`t physically hold the button down in place. I expected much better from DEWALT. Will be reaching out for warranty.
