RIDGID 500 UM 5 Vial Torpedo Level

I recently purchased the 800 LMI. In my line of work I do a lot of machinery alignment. The laser feature is what sold me on this. It works extremely well and makes the job easy. Whether aligning the faces of several different peices, or using it as a plumb bob, It works well. The accuracy for a small level is great and its compact size lets me store it just about anywhere. The aluminum body is tough and I have little worries about it getting damaged. The magnets allow it be attached to anything securely and without worry of it moving. For my application, the five vials seems to be a bit much, I'm good with 0, 90 and 45. But in more of a construction application, I can see where the others may come in handy.

My 800LMI just arrived today. It's even better than I expected. Precision craftsmanship and just a beautiful piece of machinery. Dead nuts level on both sides and the beam is bright and accurate. I'm a plumber of 25 years, minus 4 years that I took off to become a precision machinist. I can fully appreciate this tool from both aspects. Great job, Ridgid! It was well worth every cent. But on a sour note... your new generation of cordless sawzalls are absolute trash.
