Cuts Cast Fast

I cut through the long end of an extended 4" Cast Iron Elbow that was installed in a tight space in a confined location. I ended with a straight, plumb cut. Total cut time was 5-10 minutes. I used 1 blade. I am very pleased, and I recommend the Cuts Cast Fast blade to others needing to make similar cuts through 4" Cast Iron Pipe.

Homeowner Repair of Main Stack

We discovered a drip moisture leak coming from the main vent stack in the attic. Turned out the cast iron rusted through just below the coupler, and moisture was seeping through and running down the outside of the pipe. I bought a Lenox Diamond blade for my Ryobi 18v reciprocating saw at Lowes, and got to work. This was a tight location, given the slope of the roof. I used blue tape as a guide to cut a straight line. When I started, I thought wow, this might not work as I didn't seem to be making a lot of progress. I used water in a spray bottle to keep the blade from getting too hot, stopping every 30 seconds or so. I just keep an even pressure, trying to not use too much blade speed. But when I broke through the wall of the cast iron, things went quicker. It took roughly 12 minutes for me to cut the 4" cast iron pipe. I had bought two blades 'just in case' but as it turned out, I only used one. Highly recommended, very pleased.

Boat exhaust

I watched a blade review online of some plumbers testing various blades, and this came out on top by a narrow margin over the Diablo. I used it to cut thru my cast iron exhaust on my boat in a tight spot and it cut flawlessly. Used with my Ryobi 18v cordless. Highly recommend
