What?!?! I was really struggling with what brand of new flat iron to buy. I need one that gets really hot because I live in a humid area. I saw this one and see that it gets to 455 degrees and the reviews were great so I decided to give it a try. I had a Remington before and used it for several years before it died. I'm so glad I decided to go back to Remington!!!! I fell in love at first swipe!!! This is by far the best, most smooth flat iron I have ever used!!! I LOVE that its a 2 inch and I love that it doesn't pull my hair, it locks, it makes my hair shiny and straight, and its super easy to use!!! If Remington ever discontinues this model I will be the saddest girl alive!!! If you are looking for a great flat iron, BUY THIS!!!!

Works great! Gets very hot!
I own this straightener for a few years now. It's the best straightener I have owned. It gets extremely hot and straightens my hair real fast! Does not damage my hair. The only thing I have to do is run my brush threw my hair while using this straightener. Doesn't bother me though. I have a very expensive straightener I own called the instyler and I never use it. I always use this one instead because it works fast! It is a very good inexpensive straightener and I'm very happy with it.
