GE APPLIANCES GTX38EASWWS FRONT LOAD ELECTRIC DRYER

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer to replace my 40 year old Maytag. The capacity is larger, controls easy to operate, quiet and drys all types of loads - from heavy towels to light loads in less time than the old one. Being able to purchase a quality product locally with repair work available if I need it was a huge plus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my dryer now for about a month and I am thrilled to death to have it. For about the last 35 years I have used my dryer which was located in my utility room and I had to go outside to the utility room rain or shine sleet or snow to dry my clothes. Now that I am almost 75 years old and cannot walk without using my walker it has become very challenging to do my laundry. I had a space in my house that was set up for a dryer but didn't think that I could find a dryer that would fit in the space. I went to Ard Appliances here in Sumter, SC and Mr Mark Ard, Owner, said that he would send someone out to measure the space in the house for the dryer and would find a dryer that would fit in the space. They were able to find a dryer that fit perfectly in the space. The capacity of the dryer is awesome. Most of the loads I dry are fairly small but the dryer easily accommodates larger loads like bed sheets. The dryer is vented so that the heat from the dryer does not heat the house up. I cannot be more excited about having a dryer inside my house now so that regardless of what the weather is like outside I can dry clothes in the comfort of my home. I could have chosen a dryer from another manufacturer but I have had GE appliances before and have been satisfied with how well the appliances performed and the longevity of the product.
