The glass container is the only minus
Welch's grape jam continues to be delicious. What I don't like is that the 18oz jar only comes in a glass container but the 30oz jar is plastic. I can't understand why Welch's doesn't produce the 18oz in plastic as well. The lighter weight container would make it much easier to handle for debilitated customers with limited hand/arm mobility.

Excellent grape jam!
I will eat preserves, but jam is my preference. I don't buy 'spread' because of the unpleasant taste and I never buy jelly because of the incredibly nasty jello-like texture. If I had wanted grape jello, I'd have bought grape jello. Jam is better because of the way it tastes, of course, but also for the way it spreads on bread, even if you've already put the peanut butter on there. (I no longer have the capacity for a two slice sandwich, so eat PB%26J open faced.) It spreads smoothly and EVENLY, unlike either preserves (too many tiny chunks) or jelly (aforementioned horrifying texture). It's also nice on a warm tortilla...
