Redcat Racing Volcano-16 1/16 Scale Monster Truck - Blue

I bought it locally at Pit Stop Hobby Shop in Lima, OH as the first RC car for my nephew. It was a perfect recommendation. It is large enough to be stable out in the yard and small enough to be manageable in a garage. With the variable speed control, it can be slowed down enough to learn how to use it. At speed it really scoots. The only thing we weren't thrilled with, but it's not enough to lose a star, is the delay between forward and reverse. I have no idea if that's normal or not for these things; the cheap cars at Walmart do not have that delay. It is durable and took quite a beating on day one. Its new owner is seven years old, and he is managing fine with it.

I love this little truck. It's easy to take just about anywhere because of it's size. Even though it's brushed, it has good speed due to it being so small. I have abused this little truck and it just keeps taking it...flips, skids, jumps, good (and bad) landings, rollovers, cartwheels, and even an accidental light pole (I swear it jumped out from the grass). This thing is a great starter vehicle for beginners and fun even in the hands of an experienced RC enthusiast like myself (about 40 vehicles from Mini-Z to Yeti XL).
