Ready Seal 512

I used Ready Seal 512 on a new untreated cedar fence after reading good reviews online. After letting the fence dry out in 100 degree summer heat for a month I applied Ready Seal 512 liberally with a 2.5 gal pump sprayer in the manner described in the directions. The cheap sprayer I used would have benefitted from enlarging the tip hole slightly, but I endured the less than ideal spray pattern. The wood soaked it up well and stained the fence a uniform rich red/brown color. One coat as advertised. Its been 4 months. No color fade and it looks really good. About 4 gallons covered one side of the 6' tall 70' long fence (I bought the 5-gal bucket). I then used some of the remainder on a gate that I had treated twice over time with another stain %26 seal product with good result. I am very happy with both the color and ease of application. 5 Stars for that. The durability and effectiveness remain to be determined, but so far so good. I was unable to find Ready Seal in my area of California in the usual stores. I had resolved to use something else when I found it online at Walmart. The price was reasonable, and it was shipped fast at no additional charge. Arrived quickly and undamaged. Pleased about the Walmart transaction also.

Awesome easy to use stain

I think the phrase on the can that said that this was “fool proof “ was pretty accurate. I had never stained a fence before, but had close to 500 feet to stain, bought a lower end industrial sprayer, which gave me problems. However, at the end of the day, the fence looked awesome, from the first area where I was learning how to spray, to the sections that my sprayer was clogging, the fence ended up looking great.
