I needed a couple of inexpensive but not too cheap baseball mitts for my grandsons as starter mitts. One for the lefty, one for the right handed. These were great.. should last awhile. If either choses to go into the sport on a team, could work. But, if they are really serious and stick to it, I'd consider upgrade. At any rate, these will work well for a long time.
