Best Fix

I had a crack at the top of my rad which would of meant replacing it, but undid the radiator cap and drove home. I let the rad cool down slightly and mixed up some radiator weld, cleaned the crack area with alcohol and then applied a generous layer of the radiator weld and allowed it to cure until the next day, tightened down the radiator cap and it has been good since.

Not a good experience

This stuff tried to give me third degree burns . Started curing immediately and extremely rapidly after a minute of mixing in the pouch as per the instructions, and got insanely hot. Had to rip my gloves off that had the product on them as it was burning though . nowhere near enough time to spread it out.. was pretty much a disaster. . perhaps too much hardner mixed with not enough epoxy early on in mixing and started the reactio early.. i don't know.. there's no real control over the process trying to knead a pouch.. After a few hours still a bit soft, i'm not sure it's even cured properly.. Basically these mixing pouches are garbage, just give us small tubes or syringe like other products?

Poor Curing

Just tried this kit and for the first time had disappointing results. Ive been using JB products for decades so I am quite familiar with the processes. I followed the instructions and mixed it very well sanded cross hatches with 80 grit, cleaned the 1.5" hairline with a dental pick then washed twice with 99% iso. Temperature 22 ˚C (71F) within the 4 hr curing time then it cooled down fast. Application was smooth and i rubbed the epoxy into the fiberglass and around the edges. I just have no idea why this happened and I now have to replace the rad. I use and keep on hand many JB products but will never recommend this one.
