Race Ramps RR-WC-8 8in H Wheel Cribs for Tires up to 12in W (Set of Two)

Love them and easy to use. Feel a lot more comfortable sliding under the car now and the two-piece units are a must to jack the car in smaller increments to attain full height. I was always extremely nervous when having to jack one corner very high to get on a jack stand. I have a 96' SL 500 and most Mercedes of this era use 4 rubber jack points, 2 behind the front wheels and 2 in front of the rear wheels. The cribs solve the dilemma of how can you use the proper jack point to lift the car if you need that same jack point to support the car with a jack stand. I have 8" of clearance with the wheels on the ground, so the 8" cribs give me around 16" under the car which allows me to easily navigate under the car on a creeper when on the cribs. I do have to slide off the creeper to have enough space for times when one arm needs to hold the tranny pan in place while inserting the bolts. In hindsight, I would suggest the 10" cribs to be able to stay on the creeper the entire time. This would require a floor jack with extended reach as my Harbor Freight 3 Ton Racing Jack was at the top of its range getting the car on top of the 8" cribs. I used just the 4" high cribs to change the oil on my 911 and they were the perfect height on the rear of the car. Very light and easy to store, despite their bulky size. Incredibly strong for being so light. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
