Warm and high quality - runs very small!

These are very high quality and are the warmest lined jeans I've found so far. Stylish cut. They just run way small. I normally wear a US size 10 to 12 or a large in pants, but the XL in these jeans was way too small. Also, it is listed correctly, but just a warning that the inseam is quite small (28 inches I think..) , and the XL looks more like ankle or cropped pants rather than full-length pants on me and I'm 5'6". The overall length looks decent, but the split between inseam and rise seems weird too - an unusually long "rise" (length from top of the pants to the crotch) with a short inseam. I'm going to exchange XL for XXL and see if that fits better...
