I use this to enclosed my latex rubber bed topper. I have a dust protector on my mattress and the topper on top, which makes it shift as the protector is slippery. Right now, it makes the topper easier to put back into place, but i will be adding elastic loops on the corners to keep it in place. I have a queen topper and the twin xl fits perfect, though a bit snug to get on with the latex grabbing it. I'll probably cut it down the long side and add a closure, maybe snaps, to make it easier to remove for washing. It comes with 3 sides sewn and a zipper on one of the short sides. Even without any alterations yet, it's made a huge improvement. And it is very soft. My clothes have to be soft, so believe me, this is not stiff or scratchy.
