Softsoap Liquid Hand Soap, Wild Basil & Lime - 8 fluid ounce

When I went to order this hand soap, I had a few repercussions. I could not, for the life of me, even begin to imagine what a scent would be with lime and much less wild basil. These two combinations seem so far apart from one another and I could not imagine a company coming up with such a weird scent. I began thinking to myself; "what were they thinking and have they gone completely nuts"? When I opened the bottle for the first time, I thought that it had more of an aroma that leaned towards the line smell. Then when I took another whiff of it, then the smell of basil came through. The two of them together create quite a wonderful aroma and one which I have fallen in love with. When you use it, you don't have to much on your hands to get them clean. Even with so little (just a very small squirt) used, the soap creates quite of bit of lather. This does clean your hands quite well, I must say. I have very sensitive skin and so far this has not made my skin dry or itchy, like so many soaps out there today. This left my skin feeling very soft after using it and my hands smell great also. I would say that this is a must buy from now on and I am so glad that I decided to give this strange combinination a try. This I just GREAT!!

This is very thick & concentrated. Just a little bit makes lots of lather & cleans my hands well. So it should last a long time. Except for oil or epoxy based paint, & dirty automotive or bicycle grease, It easily cleans my hands. You need a workshop type brand of cleaner to get that paint & automotive stuff off easy anyway. The scent reminds me of the late 1960s & 1970s "Karate" style colognes & aftershaves. I kind of like it. Normally I don't want food-scented cleaners around because pets or kids may try to drink or lick it thinking it's edible, & get sick. But this has a very soapy lime scent, so doesn't smell like food. It's a nice fresh scent too. I like the style of the bottle a lot. It looks very nice. Some say the chrome colored cap clashes with brass or gold plated plumbing. I think no matter what bottle of soap you buy, it would clash with that. For those types of fixtures, you're better off with a refillable custom soap dispenser designed to match that plumbing. Fortunately for the 99% of us that don't have brass or gold fixtures, we won't have to worry about that nonsense. I like that if the pearl colored pump is turned to the side, it cannot be accidentally pushed down, or dispensed by small children & pets. It made it through the whole grueling shipping process without 1 drop being leaked into the box. Not even the faintest scent of the soap could be detected inside the shipping box. So far, no gooey drops have been detected dripping out of the pump spout after I use it. With other brands, they always have a few drops drip out after using it onto the sink or floor for pets or kids to get at, burn their eyes, or get sick on. It all continues to go well by the time the bottle is empty, I may consider getting the refill. They make refills for these so you don't have to buy a whole pump bottle again.
