RCA 1080P Home Theater Projector, 5" LCD Panel, Open Optical Engine,450 ANSI Lumens, Black, RPJ167

I've been experimenting with these budget projectors for almost a year now. When I saw the advertised 450 ANSI Lumens I decided to jump. I was hoping this projector would be brighter than the Happrun projecter I purchased from Amazon for around $55, and it did not disappoint. It was noticeably brighter than the Happrun. Now, be sure to temper your expectations. These budget projectors are really best in a pretty dark room. When it's sunny outside you're not really going to be able to see the image. That being said, the RCA RPJ167 was definitely brighter than the other <$75 projects I've tried in the past year. I'd even go so far to say it's much more viewable during the day on a cloudy/overcast day than the others. All in all well worth it for the $65 tax price I paid on sale.

I had a few of these portable cheap projectors and this is by far the brightest and clearest. The lumens in the specs doesn't give it justice. It's that bright. The sound is also quite good for the size. The only thing is, that's it's drowned out by the fan. It very loud on this unit. But if you connect the sound to external speakers, it won't be an issue. Also the size is not as portable as I would like it to be. Either way, perfect for your backyard movie night.
