This grain is a great base for really tasty, high-fiber side dishes. Use low sodium chicken broth instead of water for cooking liquid. For Asian flavor, throw in garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, frozen peas, and slivered almonds or unsalted peanuts. For Cajun/Southwest style, add the onion %26 garlic powder, Mrs. Dash Southwest Chipotle seasoning (or regular cajun seasoning), smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and a little Worcestershire. It's only about 15 minutes to cook and you can use your imagination.
