Organic Tamarind Paste, 11 oz (310 g), Pure Indian Foods

I'd recently been introduced to tamarind as a cooking ingredient by a friend. In my efforts to avoid sugars and dodgy additives in jars of tamarind paste, I bought a dried block of tamarind fruit. After lengthy soaking then about an hour of pressing it through a sieve to remove stones and seeds and skin from the pulp, the meal I cooked was lovely. I didn't think that I'd bother using it again though because of the faff. I was delighted to discover this product. Organic, convenient, a good sized jar, too. It added a delicious tang to my cooking. It's becoming a fridge staple, and is encouraging me to search for new recipes. Protective package was perfect. A tad pricey but a little goes a long way. Highly recommended.
