It's a pure and simple fact that adult cats have varying activity levels. That's why this simple formula provides the complete and balanced nutrition that your cat needs to keep her healthy and happy. While these are the recommended feeding ranges for moderately active cats, you should adjust them as needed to help them maintain their optimum weight. Increase or decrease the serving size according to your cat's size, age, weight, and activity level to maintain optimum body weight. Use the standard chart as a guide. Daily Feeding Guidelines - Adult Cat Feeding Chart (Amount of food consumed will vary based on activity level, age, breed, and environment. Standard 8 oz/250 cc measuring cup holds approximately 4.4 oz/124 grams of Pure Balance Turkey & Sweet Potato Recipe Food for Cats): Your Cat's Weight: 1-5 lbs (1-2.3 kg): 1/4 cup (40 grams) daily. 6-10 lbs (2.4-4.5 kg): 1/4 to 1/2 cup (40-68 grams) daily. 11-15 lbs (4.6-6.8 kg): 1/2 to 3/4 cup (68-92 grams) daily. 15+ lbs (6.8+ kg): 3/4 + 1/4 cup for each additional 5 lbs over 15 (92 g + 20 g for each additional 2.3 kg over 6.8 kg). Divide the amount shown into 2 to 3 feedings daily. Consult your veterinarian if you believe your cat is too thin or overweight. Remember it is important to have clean, fresh water available for your cat at all times. Growing Kittens: Feed 2-3 times the amount recommended for their expected adult weight, in three meals per day until 6 months of age, then twice daily until 12 months. Feed pregnant females 1.5 times the amount shown for their non-pregnant weight. Feed lactating females up to 3 times the amount shown for their non-pregnant weight. Best grocery store brand dry cat food ...
I was trying to find a better quality store brand food for my "chubby" kitties with less filler and more protein. I read labels and decided to try this. It's a little pricier, but so far worth it. It's been a few months now and my little chubs have seemed to have lost a little weight. They're definitely not gaining anymore! Plus, they seem to be able to use more of the food ... as there seems to be less poo-poo in the litter box. So for a grocery store brand, this seems to be a good choice. Read labels folks! We are doing a disservice to our babies by loading them up on fat hoarding fillers.

Pleased with this cat food
My cats seem to love this cat food. My vet always compliments them on how shiny and soft their fur is. He says you can always tell how high quality a cat food is by the cat's coat. Be aware that the kibbles are very small. I put a pic of them next to some sunflower seeds for a size comparison for you. I think one of my cats swallows them without chewing, because of how quickly she is done eating her portions. The only problem I have with this food, is that my store never seems to have it in stock. I guess that's what Walmart.com is for.
